Guide for Replacement

Permits are one of the most important first steps when planning a new roof, and they are always required by your local jurisdiction. It's very important to have this arranged before any work is commenced. Any roofing company will have this information, or you can also contact your local Building Department Office.

Roof replacement can be a complicated and lengthy process, so it's a good idea to get a detailed contract which states all the responsibilities that the roofer is responsible for. It's very important that the roofing company knows the product they are installing and that they follow the manufactures recommendations and local building codes. Also, make sure you get a time estimate of how long the whole process will take.

Do you need a new roof

Nothing lasts forever and roofs are no exception, it may be time to replace yours. The following includes various factors to consider when deciding if and when to replace the roof on your residential or commercial building:

Is your roof system 20 years or older? If your roof is within its lifespan, you can easily solve this problem with a repair. However, once it has reached its maximum lifespan, it is time to look at a replacement. Are your shingles blistered, curled, or split? Are you missing shingles? Is the roof sagging in one spot or more? Is the metal looking rusty or corroded? Whether you are attempting to sell your home or spruce it up, a new roof can add value and make it more appealing.

Your roof needs maintenance in order to maximize its expected lifespan. If not properly preserved, your roof will deteriorate and cause many problems.

Inspections should take place twice a year- more specifically during spring and fall. Practicing self-advocacy throughout the year can help span the life of your roof system by being proactive if anything gets damaged throughout the year. TCC can provide you with these quality inspections.
